Badminton events start off on the property of the Duke of Beauport. The sport was named after "Badminton House," the Duke's home. It was included in the event list of Olympics games in 1992. In order to play badminton you need shorts, a short sleeve shirt, a net, a racket, a shuttlecock and a partner. The badminton rackets strings are made out of synthetic threads to hit the shuttlecock during the games. The most common faults are the shuttlecock hits the athlete, the player hits the net or his or her racket does, the shuttlecock hit's the ground before it goes over the net, the shuttlecock is hit twice. To score in badminton participants must be serving their opponent, the serve must be diagonal, the server's feet must be on the ground, and the serve must be made under the waist. The game ends when the first team gets 15 point. To win the match they have to win two games. There are individual match and dual match for the badminton games.
